What Your Township Property Taxes Support
You won't find a column on any financial report or a statistic of how many services were delivered measuring the kind of dedication and resourcefulness that genuinely shows the difference the Township staff and our social service agency providers make in the lives of Township residents.
A Brief Overview of the Budget
Each year New Trier Township prepares a budget to guide its services and programs. The largest portion of our budget is allocated to social service providers who serve our youth, seniors, individuals and families in crisis, and persons with disabilities. By collaborating with these service providers we most effectively use tax dollars to meet our state mandate to provide needed services for our residents.
The New Trier Township fiscal year begins on March 1st and runs through February 28th. The budget includes programs and services, total town fund expenses and general assistance.
