Your Township Property Taxes Help Strengthen Our Communities

Township government is devoted to serving the physical and emotional needs of our residents. The portion of the property tax levy we receive permits us to provide essential human services; offering hope and community stability.

The combined efforts of our volunteers, staff, elected officials and agency partners help people realize their full potential through referrals to professionals, supplemental food and financial relief.

We welcome all that are in need and deliver quality service in a judgment-free zone. We're strengthening our communities by making a difference in the lives of those we serve.

A Brief Overview of the Budget

Each year New Trier Township prepares a budget to guide its services and programs. The largest portion of our budget is allocated to social service providers who serve our youth, seniors, individuals and families in crisis, and persons with disabilities. By collaborating with these service providers we most effectively use tax dollars to meet our state mandate to provide needed services for our residents.

The New Trier Township fiscal year begins on March 1st and runs through February 28th. The budget includes programs and services, total town fund expenses and general assistance.
