There are Angels Among Us Even in our affluent Township, adversity strikes for many reasons: job loss, devastating illness, crippling accident, divorce, loss of independence. Some Township residents who desperately need financial aid are not eligible for assistance from public funds. For these individuals and families, there is the Angel Fund that provides emergency assistance to pay for food, shelter, utilities, clothing, medical care and other necessities. The Angel Fund is supported solely by donations from private citizens and organizations. One hundred percent of the donated funds are used to assist those in need. There are no administrative costs. The Angel Fund is a registered 501(C)3 organization, so your donation is tax deductible. If you would like to contribute gifts or money through the Angel Fund, please call the Social Services Administrator at 847-446-8201 or click here for a donation form. If you make a donation in honor of a friend, the Township will send you an attractive acknowledgment card. | ![]() Glancing over the table filled with gifts of the season is Bette Vitale, New Trier Township Social Services Administrator and Patricia Cantor, New Trier Township Supervisor At holiday time, the Township remembers residents of all ages who are in need with special gifts.
