A resident of Wilmette since 2001, Dr. Fisher is a licensed clinical psychologist whose work has taken her across a variety of venues. She has served as a strategic consultant for retail, manufacturing and educational organizations. Her essays have been published in national newspapers and magazines - including citations in Newsweek and the Washington Times. She has been a frequent guest on national and local radio and hosted her own show for two years. During her 18 years in Washington DC, she worked as a private practice psychologist, and contributed as a child and family expert to congressional hearings and briefings and served as a policy consultant to the Subcommittee on Children and Families. Fisher and her husband, Dr. Wes Fisher, recently founded an online tee shirt business, medtees.com; irreverent and inspirational designs for patients with chronic diseases and disabilities; as featured in ABC news, the Chicago Tribune and numerous publications. She is an active member in the community having served as president of the Wilmette Community Review Board and on the executive boards of Central School, Highcrest School, and Wilmette Junior High School, and serves currently on the boards of several local organizations and non-profit agencies. She is the mother of three children.
