New Trier Township Issues Call for Funding Applications

New Trier Township is now accepting funding applications for the Township’s 2012-2013 Fiscal Year, which begins March 1, 2012. To be eligible for funding an agency must be a 501 (c) 3 organization, provide direct services to Township residents, have a firm sense of mission, and have a well-organized management team. To apply for funding, an Application for Funding and Budget Worksheet should be filled out and submitted by Monday, September 12, 2011 at 4:00 p.m.
Once proposals have been submitted, the Township Advisory Committees, made up of volunteers from the Township, hold a series of public hearings in the months of October and November, with final allocation recommendations being made to the New Trier Township Board in December.

This year New Trier Township has awarded $1.2 million in grants to 37 different social service agencies to support 47 programs that range from youth drop-in centers and senior services to the well being of individuals and families and crisis intervention as well as prevention services. The Township also provides financial support to residential, vocational and respite programs, as well as advocacy and inclusion programs for persons with disabilities.
