"Working for the Common Good" is the theme of the 2017 Annual Town Meeting.
The event is one of the oldest traditions of Township government in which all Townships in Illinois meet on a Tuesday in early April to review the official business of Township government. It is also unique in that registered voters rather than the elected officials vote on agenda items.
Please join us for an Open House and the 168th Annual Town Meeting to visit with elected officials and staff, learn about social services provided by featured agencies that will offer materials and discussions at individual displays, enjoy light refreshments, and stay for the Annual Town Meeting presentation.
Attendees will hear a presentation and updates on social services and grant programs offered by the Township to residents.
Announcement of the award winners is still pending; winners will be honored at the meeting. The Township is grateful for the service and dedication of our many volunteers and supporters who make the work of the Township possible. The following will be awarded at the meeting.
- Supervisor's Superior Service Award
- Peer Jury Scholarship Award
- Friend of the Township Award
