Township Office Offers Voter Services

As the February 21st deadline to register to vote in the March 20th primary election approaches, New Trier Township Clerk Jerome Hoynes reminds residents that the Township office is a convenient location to register to vote.
Registration can be done at the New Trier Township Office located at 739 Elm Street in Winnetka. Office hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. To register to vote, Hoynes says two forms of identification, one with your current address, are required. To be qualified to register, an applicant must be a U.S. citizen; at least 18 years old by Election Day; and a resident of their precinct at least 30 days prior to an election. Residents who would like to verify their registration status can visit the Township Clerk’s website to verify their registration status.

In addition to voter registration, the Township also provides applications for absentee applications. The last day to request a mail-in absentee ballot is March 15th.
