Workshop Offers Assistance With Understanding Affordable Care Act and Health Insurance Enrollment

State and federal officials will be available to discuss how the health care law will affect citizens on Sunday, October 13 from noon to 5:00 p.m. at the Levy Senior Center, 300 Dodge Avenue in Evanston. Residents can meet with in-person counselors to discuss individual questions and concerns about the Official Health Marketplace. No appointment is necessary to meet with a counselor. If you wish to enroll, you will need to bring the following:

  • social security number (or document number for legal immigrants)
  • employer and income information (pay-stubs or W-2 forms)
  • policy numbers for any current health insurance plans covering members of your household
  • proof of Illinois residency
  • household information (who lives in your household)

A panel discussion with elected officials will be held at 3:00 p.m.
