Vehicle stickers for all vehicles registered to homes and businesses in unincorporated Cook County can be purchased from the Township Office. Valid identification (ID) of the owner must be presented and the application must be filled out in its entirety. Payments are made my personal check or money order to Cook County Collector.
July 1st Deadline to Display
The vehicle sticker must be purchased and properly displayed by July 1 each year. The fees for the annual stickers vary based on vehicle type and typically are adjusted each year. The stickers are free for residents with disabilities, disabled veterans and senior citizens 65 or older, and are valid for as long as the car remains with the same owner. Vehicle owners in unincorporated Cook County who do not receive an application in the mail can pick one up at their Township office.
Anyone purchasing a vehicle sticker after July 1 will be required to pay a late penalty. A late fee will also be charged for stickers purchased after July 1 for handicapped residents, disabled veterans and senior citizens. Should a police officer ticket your vehicle for failing to properly display the sticker by July 1, a fine will be imposed. The stickers are valid through June 30 of the following calendar year. Purchase the sticker online.
