2020 Annual Town Meeting
The 171st Annual Town Meeting has been postponed due to the national pandemic emergency. As Illinois residents continue to follow "shelter in place" requirements established by Governor Pritzker, New Trier Township Clerk Jerome Hoynes and the Board of Trustees announced that the Township’s 171st Annual Town Meeting, originally scheduled for April 14, 2020 will be postponed to a date to be determined when social distancing and other public space gathering restrictions are lifted.
As the government closest to the people we appreciate your understanding. Emergency financial assistance and food pantry support will be available during our office closing which begins March 17, 2020.

VIRTUAL BOARD MEETINGS
During the COVID-19 pandemic situation, the Township Board of Directors will be meeting via video conferencing. Our number one priority is safety and temporary suspension of group meetings (now required by Illinois mandate) are best accomplished by electronic means.
The theme of the 2020 Annual Town Meeting is Caring In Action. Hear from guests and your elected officials about working for the common good, making a positive difference in strengthening our communities through township programs.
Clerk Jerome Hoynes announced that the Annual Town Meeting originally scheduled for April 14, 2020 has been postponded due the the Coronavirus emergency. We will notify the public of the new meeting date once we are cleared to resume large public gatherings.
